AVA is a new feminist collective interested in identifying and sharing resources with other underserved artists. We will hold monthly meetings delving into topics that affect our lives and practices. In this first meeting we want to hear from you. What challenges have you faced as an artist? Access, discrimination, childcare, finances, Lack of opportunity, lack of an artist network, etc? What community programs would help you in your artistic endeavors? Our first gathering as a community will allow us to uncover our needs and state our obstacles so we can begin to expose resources and develop systems of support.
