Reiki as Home Remedy is a 6 hr class teaching the foundations of the Usui System of Natural Healing. The first 3 hrs will be devoted to teaching of the actual practice [ sacred symbols, hand positions, breathing techniques, and meditation ]. In the 2nd half of the class we will create a Reiki Circle [ also called Share ] in which all students will have a chance to practice and become confident in their new knowledge. This class is attended to break away from the traditional system of Certificates for Levels 1,2 and 3, creating a class that would empower every individual with the knowledge they need to feel comfortable to do energy work themselves.
Mak Kern is a Reiki Master and teacher. She is certified to teach the original Usui System, awarded by the International Center of Reiki Training.
While most WCCW programming is free or donation-based, with no one turned away for lack of funds, we do offer some workshops that have fees associated. This covers materials and allows us to pay the leaders of these workshops for their time and expertise, and to put a small percentage back into WCCW. This income, in addition to memberships, is what lets us keep the doors open and the lights on. We want to make programming as accessible as possible to anyone who is interested though, so we also offer volunteer opportunities and free community tickets to each event or workshop (number varies depending on capacity of the class).
