Sundays, October 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th from 1-4pm.
Performance November 6th at 1PM (brunch show!!!)
$80 members/$90 regular (whole series)

According to Viola Spolin, in order to “break through the walls that keep us from the unknown, ourselves and each other, we must first be thrown off-balance or forget the known.” This workshop will playfully explore the creative space of the unknown and the unscripted. By willfully throwing ourselves off-balance we will make space to listen to our impulses and respond generously as we create new stories, characters and relationships in improvised scenes. Led by the members of GiRL CRUSH, this workshop is open to all levels of experience and welcomes non-performers and performers alike. Oh, and it’s gonna be like, totally fun!

Attendees should sign up in advance for all four weeks. At the end of these four weeks workshop attendees will form a temporary improv team which will “open” for the November 6th GiRL CRUSH performance.

GiRL CRUSH is Sallie Merkel, Lauren White and Jenny Greer!

While most WCCW programming is free or donation-based, with no one turned away for lack of funds, we do offer some workshops that have fees associated. This covers materials and allows us to pay the leaders of these workshops for their time and expertise, and to put a small percentage back into WCCW. This income, in addition to memberships, is what lets us keep the doors open and the lights on. We want to make programming as accessible as possible to anyone who is interested though, so we also offer volunteer opportunities and free community tickets to each event or workshop (number varies depending on capacity of the class). Email for more info or to find out more about this opportunity for a specific event.
