Led by Krista Schwimmer
Magical women have existed in every culture, throughout every time. Yet, their influence and teachings still go overlooked in today’s modern world. Many of these women followed arduous, spiritual disciplines that required time and effort not always possible for today’s busy woman. In its most distilled form, however, magic is a state of consciousness. There are simple and effective ways to cultivate such a consciousness and lead a life full of magic on a day to day basis.
In the first part of the evening, Krista Schwimmer will share methods from both Eastern and Western modalities to help you live a magical life. From the Eastern traditions, Krista will teach you how to work with mantra, using the Tara mantra as an example. From the Western Occult magical movement, she will draw inspiration and methods from the lives of such luminaries as Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, co-founder of Theosophy, and author of Isis-Unveiled and The Secret Doctrine; Lady Frieda Harris, artist to the re-known Thoth tarot deck, conceived by Aleister Crowley; and Florence Farr, writer, actress, and Adept in the original Golden Dawn.
In the second part of the evening, Krista will share ways that the magical mind intersects with the external world to send messages and to reflect genuine, spiritual progress. Dreams, synchronicity, and totems are three examples she will discuss.
Whether you are new to the magical path or a longtime practitioner, please join Krista for an evening dedicated to helping more women from all paths lead full magical lives in modern times.

While most WCCW programming is free or donation-based, with no one turned away for lack of funds, we do offer some workshops that have fees associated. This covers materials and allows us to pay the leaders of these workshops for their time and expertise, and to put a small percentage back into WCCW. This income, in addition to memberships, is what lets us keep the doors open and the lights on. We want to make programming as accessible as possible to anyone who is interested though, so we also offer volunteer opportunities and free community tickets to each event or workshop (number varies depending on capacity of the class). Email [email protected] for more info or to find out more about this opportunity for a specific event.
