Feminist Resource Mapping
Tuesday, September 27th, 7-10pm
Free
Have you ever wanted access to a digital mapping tool to help you locate important feminist resources within Los Angeles? What kinds of assets and services in our communities – cultural organizations, women’s health centers, feminist businesses – would you include as invaluable to women and civic life? Join the Women’s Center for Creative Work for a series of working group meetings as we seek to unify the LA feminist community through a collaborative resource mapping project.
All are invited to help identify and share submissions on feminist cultural resources located in our city. Feminist Resource Mapping meetings will occur on the last Tuesday of every month this Fall — September 27th, October 25th, and November 29th.
Leana Scott is a South Pacific-born Angeleno intrigued by the intersection of art, feminism, technology, and civic engagement. She believes in the expanded role of feminism as an important guide in community planning and development. Leana enjoys spending ample amounts of time outside, preferably in her cleats, either playing soccer, or growing the beautiful game for young girls in South Los Angeles.
