Join WCCW’s summer interns Nyala Carbado, the Membership and Operations Intern, and Nadinne Natalia, the Programs and Press Intern as we help fundraise for SUPRMARKT’s Keep Slauson Fresh campaign! SUPRMARKT is an organization working to end food deserts in South Los Angeles by providing low cost organic produce. They are raising funds to purchase what was once Mr. Wisdom’s on Slauson Blvd in order to make affordable groceries accessible to all. To support them with their campaign, we will be cooking a plant-based Ethiopian dinner with ingredients purchased through SUPRMARKT. We hope you can join us in supporting this great cause and we look forward to seeing you there!
Ticket price breakdown:
$20-includes dinner
$50-includes dinner, raffle ticket, and gift bag
$100-includes dinner, two raffle tickets, a gift bag, and your name and bio listed in our email blast about the campaign and on our website.

About SÜPRMARKT’s Keep Slauson Fresh Campaign: The day Nipsey Hussle passed, we learned that a historic health store moments away from Marathon had been sold and closed. We hope to buy the historic house that once housed Mr. Wisdom’s health foods & provide healthy, affordable, safe products and goods to the community. Back our campaign and support this wave of health in neighborhoods across the nation!
