at the Women’s Center for Creative Work
Thank you for your support! Seats for this event are now sold out. You can still support this cause by making a contribution using the donate button below. Anything helps! If you have a ticket, you can still purchase raffle tickets below.
Join WCCW’s summer interns Nyala Carbado, the Membership and Operations Intern, and Nadinne Natalia, the Programs and Press Intern as we help fundraise for SUPRMARKT’s Keep Slauson Fresh campaign! SUPRMARKT is an organization working to end food deserts in South Los Angeles by providing low cost organic produce. They are raising funds to purchase what was once Mr. Wisdom’s on Slauson Blvd in order to make affordable groceries accessible to all. To support them with their campaign, we will be cooking a plant-based Ethiopian dinner with ingredients purchased through SUPRMARKT. We hope you can join us in supporting this great cause and we look forward to seeing you there!
Ticket price breakdown:
$50-includes dinner, raffle ticket, and gift bag
$100-includes dinner, two raffle tickets, a gift bag, and your name and bio listed in our email blast about the campaign and on our website.
About SÜPRMARKT’s Keep Slauson Fresh Campaign: The day Nipsey Hussle passed, we learned that a historic health store moments away from Marathon had been sold and closed. We hope to buy the historic house that once housed Mr. Wisdom’s health foods & provide healthy, affordable, safe products and goods to the community. Back our campaign and support this wave of health in neighborhoods across the nation!
Accessibility information for this event: WCCW has a 36” wide ramp at our front entrance and a stairway with 8 steps and a rail. There are 2 gender neutral restrooms. One restroom is wheelchair accessible, with a handrail. We provide scent free soaps and encourage guests to attend our events scent free. If you require ASL interpretation, CART, interpretation for a language other than English, supervised childcare, or have any other access needs or questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org at least two weeks in advance.
