Calling all walkers, riders, neighbors & interested folks! Join Los Angeles River Communities for Environmental Equity (LARCEE.org) to talk about the LA River Greenway shared path (the bike and pedestrian path behind WCCW) and next year’s Elysian Valley Slow Ride.
The Slow Ride was founded in December 2016, when an elderly Elysian Valley resident was struck and critically injured by a speeding cyclist. The Slow Ride is a monthly gathering that brings together cyclists, pedestrians, and community members to help keep the LA River Greenway shared path safe for everyone.
On December 2, we’ll be planning the 2019 rides and we want your input! Is your organization interested in collaborating with us? Do you have a great idea for a ride? Come share your vision! We promise coffee, comestibles & conversation.
Accessibility information for this event: WCCW has a 36” wide ramp at our front entrance and a stairway with 8 steps and a rail. There are 2 gender neutral restrooms. One restroom is wheelchair accessible, with a handrail. We provide scent free soaps and encourage guests to attend our events scent free. If you require ASL interpretation, CART, interpretation for a language other than English, supervised childcare, or have any other access needs or questions, please contact [email protected] at least two weeks in advance. It is our practice to do everything we can to create a safe and accessible space.
