Join WCCW’s Education Coordinator Lindsey Lee Eichenberger for a fun, easy zine workshop! You’ll learn a little bit about the history of radical self-publishing, learn to fold a mini zine using just one sheet of paper, and will follow a fun prompt to produce a completed zine by the end of the activity.
The prompts in this workshop have been designed for use in classrooms and are great for use with students during this time of distance teaching. This workshop is for all-ages and requires no prior knowledge of zines and zine-making!
Accessibility note: Closed Captions are not currently available on Crowdcast. This zine-making tutorial involves folding a piece of paper multiple times, using scissors, and writing/drawing.
Lindsey Lee Eichenberger is a writer, zine-maker and educator. She develops curriculum guides, writes lesson plans, produces youth programs, and is always looking for fresh new ways to disrupt the “teacher as authority” paradigm. Lindsey is currently an Education MA candidate at Cal State LA lives in Los Angeles, where she is from.

Our program costs go directly towards compensation of the instructors and staffers who work the event. We want to make programming as accessible as possible to anyone who is interested, however, so we offer volunteer opportunities in exchange for membership, as well as free community tickets to each program (number varies depending on capacity of the class).
