“We humyns live on this planet as an integral species of our environment, and are merely one manifestation of the millions of species which claim this air, this water, this light, this earth, as our collective home.”

Partake in Everything Is Medicine’s (e.i.m) indigenous perspectives series and experience Nature through all your senses. This four-hour workshop will be led by Olivia Chumacero at the Women’s Center for Creative Work in Los Angeles. The session begins with a short hike to identify native flora, then immediately followed by the workshop which introduces the flora’s edible, and self-care uses. This series teaches the responsibility we have towards our mother Earth as co-inhabitants in Nature.

Sensible foot-ware and attire are advised. Please note that e.i.m. events are always zero-waste.

Most materials will be provided, but please do bring:

1 large towel
1 small towel
1 basin ( for the feet)
a notebook/pens
snacks

Chumacero studied film at UC Santa Cruz and is the founder of Everything Is Medicine, a project that involves workshops, hikes, and other initiatives to raise awareness of native California flora, sustainable water use, and the respectful use of lands belonging to indigenous groups. https://everythingismedicine.wordpress.com/

*All members get 20% off paid programming. A limited number of free spots are also available for Warrior & Goddess level members. Email [email protected] to inquire about free tickets.

Our program costs go directly towards compensation of the instructors and staffers who work the event. We want to make programming as accessible as possible to anyone who is interested, however, so we offer volunteer opportunities in exchange for membership, as well as free community tickets to each program (number varies depending on capacity of the class). Email [email protected] for more info or to find out more about these opportunities for a specific event.
