2017 has been a tumultuous year socially and politically — the work to sustain ourselves so that we can continue to show up for ourselves and our communities to educate, activate, and agitate for the battles ahead in 2018 is critical. Let’s create a space to come together, build community, and recharge our spirits through the act of story sharing! We’ll come together to share our personal stories and explore our identities as feminists, our places in our communities and political spaces, our challenges, our ambitions, and other themes, as we reflect on our journeys to explore, grow, challenge, and politicize our feminism.
We’ll open with introductions, establishing our shared community values, and a guided meditation, then move into deeper sharing in facilitated small group discussions, and close with reflection and sharing as a larger group. Vegan snacks will be available throughout the event.
The Los Angeles Women’s Impact Collective is a feminist community that aims to create a space for women, queer, gender non-conforming and non-binary folks to explore, challenge, grow and politicize their feminism.
