What are the bodies of water near you? What are the plants in your area? How can these landscapes and plant allies assist you in your dreamwork? How do you request their assistance?

All objects are portals—a way to travel through spacetime. When we learn to use our bodies, objects, and landscapes around us as portals, we can begin or expand a dreamworking practice, and our ability to manifest and release in the waking realm.

We will build a Beginner Ancestor Dream Kit, a tool to begin to remember your dreams and, if you desire, open ancestor communication. Included will be a handmade ancestral dream portal created from wildcrafted herbs and local water collection. During the second day of class, we will reflect on the previous night’s dreamwork and learn methods of divination and dream interpretation. All of this work is in service of our collective intuition, knowing and freedom.

Blache Marie is a teaching artist working and traveling in community to support healing and engage a global audience. Their art is a living collage of research, dreamwork, poetry, advocacy, herbalism, conscious booking and film created for and with community healing. Their work draws from several healing traditions including herbalism, conjure/hoodoo, Southern Folk Medicine, Pachakuti Mesa (Peruvian shamanism), curanderismo, reiki, and rootwork. Building ceremonial healing spaces inspired by their memories and visceral emotional experience, they examine the historical context of blackness, queerness, tranness, and ruptures caused by forced migrations in the United States. They are currently based in Flagstaff, AZ. More information about Blache Marie can be found at www.causereign.com.
