It’s imperative that we find ways to elevate the voices and actions of those who are reflecting the times, honoring the past, and continuously working towards our collective growth in relation to the Black Trans masculine community. How can we contribute to shifting culture?
In this month’s program, host Cat Jones is in discussion with photographer & visual narrator, Texas Isaiah. His work amplifies the Black Trans existence, while simultaneously creating relevant, necessary, & honorable visual offerings to the community.

This space centers the experience and works of Black Trans and Non Binary masculine individuals. Consentrik acknowledges the spectrum of masculinity and honors and invites all that identify along the spectrum of gender and gender expression. If you do not identify as a Trans/ Non Binary masculine individual, you are also welcome. However, please take note of the space you are entering.
We are a collective house of MOC (masculine center) individuals and allies whose sole objective is to learn, grow, participate in happiness and support each other.
Cat Jones is an artist based in Los Angeles working with fabrics, photography, digital mediums, & audio/visual mediums to express his connection to life, the unknown, & his past. His projects seek to uplift the voice from within, and to encourage others to share their truth in ways that are therapeutic & healing. He centers his work around those who identify as black, trans, & queer, in ways that are inviting and warm. He uses his 10 years of non profit relations to gage his work, and influence the narratives that are necessary to highlight. Cat has generated features with online platforms such Nylon Magazine, Huffington Post, New York Times, Rolling Stone, & Vanity Fair. His first collection from Nicole Wilson was shown at NYFW at the Brooklyn Museum in collaboration with DapperQ in 2017. He has collaborated with international agencies such as the Human Rights Initiative in Kampala Uganda, as part of his mission to raise awareness of lgbtq issues in the Capitol of Uganda. He has maintained a sense of importance in relation to amplifying the voices black & queer people, as well providing artistic and healing spaces for the community.

Our program costs go directly towards compensation of the instructors and staffers who work the event. We want to make programming as accessible as possible to anyone who is interested, however, so we offer volunteer opportunities in exchange for membership, as well as free community tickets to each program (number varies depending on capacity of the class).
