Marketing options can be overwhelming. MailChimp offers a user-friendly, free way to engage and grow your digital community – whether you are an exhibiting artist, own an e-commerce store, or have a non-profit. Email marketing is a great option for those with both huge and non-existent marketing budgets. Whereas social media marketing relies on capturing the attention of strangers, email marketing allows you to talk directly to people who already want to hear from you. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to set up a free MailChimp account, create and embed email signup forms to grow your audience, create an email campaign and integrate social media marketing with your MailChimp account. Bring a wi-fi enabled laptop and any existing email lists you may have already collected.
Leanne Pedante is a graphic designer, community organizer, and fitness coach who works in connection: connecting people to their communities, connecting people to their audiences and connecting people to themselves. After finishing her BA in Multimedia Design, Leanne went on to work as both an in-house and freelance graphic designer for over 10 years. She has created email marketing campaigns and MailChimp automation systems for dozens of nonprofits, artists, and businesses over the past decade. In her free time, Leanne enjoys boxing and eating candy.
*All members get 20% off paid programming. A limited number of free spots are also available for Warrior & Goddess level members. Email [email protected] to inquire about free tickets.
Our program costs go directly towards compensation of the instructors and staffers who work the event. We want to make programming as accessible as possible to anyone who is interested, however, so we offer volunteer opportunities in exchange for membership, as well as free community tickets to each program (number varies depending on capacity of the class). Email [email protected] for more info or to find out more about these opportunities for a specific event.
