WCCW partnered with the Craft and Folk Art Museum and Fibershed for a day of omelets, interactive demonstrations, and holiday gifts. We celebrated Edith Wyle, the founder of the Craft and Folk Art Museum, which in its initial iteration was called “The Egg and the Eye” and offered museum exhibitions devoted to craft and world art, a store with handmade items for sale, and a restaurant that served over 50 types of omelets. WCCW created a one-day homage to the historical institution by serving lunch and distributing broadsheets depicting the history of Edith Wyle. Many of the museums original patrons came out to share omelets, some of which were created from the Egg and the Eye’s original recipes, and remembrances of Edith.
