Inner Images; A Jungian Painting Experiment

Fridays, May 13th-June 3rd, 11am-1pm
$50 WCCW Members / $55 Regular
Through the process of painting we will explore Carl Jung’s technique of active imagination. Facilitating communication between our unconscious and conscious selves will cultivate a new symbolic attitude.

The group will meet 4 times for 2 hours each session. The first three sessions will begin with a meditation/visualization, which then leads into 40 minutes of silent painting, followed by group discussion and critique. The last session is a longer critique and discussion of all three works and how they interrelate. Additionally, this final session will allow us to see how our works as a community are related to our collective consciousness.

No previous painting experience is required.

While most WCCW programming is free or donation-based, with no one turned away for lack of funds, we do offer some workshops that have fees associated. This covers materials and allows us to pay the leaders of these workshops for their time and expertise, and to put a small percentage back into WCCW. This income, in addition to memberships, is what lets us keep the doors open and the lights on. We want to make programming as accessible as possible to anyone who is interested though, so we also offer volunteer opportunities and free community tickets to each event or workshop (number varies depending on capacity of the class). Email [email protected] for more info or to find out more about this opportunity for a specific event.
