We invited our community to join us for snacks, tea, and inquiry into potential alternative institutional formats. With the WCCW, we endeavor to create a responsive and plastic structure that embraces the multiplicities of female experience in Los Angeles. Taking inspiration from both small-scale models like punk houses, dinner tables, community gardens, and larger, collectively run organizations like the Park-Slope Food Co-op, 16Beaver, Temporary Services, Red76, the occupy movement, and neighborhood coalitions, we threw our nets wide in hopes of feeling our way into a truly inclusive and cooperative institution. We wanted to hear your thoughts about what you felt like you need from a place in this city!
