This workshop aims to give participants the ability to deepen a specific dream or dream image. There are several parts to this workshop which include: a grounding meditation, short demonstration, working in pairs, drawing/writing the dream/dream image, embodied movement inspired by the dream (Authentic Movement), and a group conversation to end. This process is distilled in order to allow participants to pick and chose those elements that resonate the most and take home to add to their personal dream practice.
Rikki Rothenberg is a Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Intern as well as a visual & performance artist. As life-long dream hobbyist she has had many different personal dream practices and used them as inspiration for visual and performance art. As a depth and somatically oriented therapist she values ways that brings us into deeper connection to ourselves and the community around us. Rothenberg has found that through dream work she has a better understanding of her internal world and has touched a deeper archetypal field that connects her to something greater than herself.
While most WCCW programming is free or donation-based, with no one turned away for lack of funds, we do offer some workshops that have fees associated. This covers materials and allows us to pay the leaders of these workshops for their time and expertise, and to put a small percentage back into WCCW. This income, in addition to memberships, is what lets us keep the doors open and the lights on. We want to make programming as accessible as possible to anyone who is interested though, so we also offer volunteer opportunities and free community tickets to each event or workshop (number varies depending on capacity of the class). Email info@wccw.us for more info or to find out more about this opportunity for a specific event.
