An introduction to the basics of non-linear video editing using Adobe Premiere software. We will discuss best practices, media organization, and coverage needs for different types of media projects.

Jessica Schilling is a freelance documentary and reality tv editor based in Los Angeles, California. She brings over a decade of experience and a strong sense of storytelling to her work, and seeks out character-driven projects as well as those that focus on political, social, and cultural narratives. Finessing challenging coverage into seamless and smooth scene work is her editing super-power. Jessica is a member of the International Documentary Association, and a special member of American Cinema Editors.
